About the Journal

Civitas: Journal of Community and Development is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study of community dynamics, social development, and participatory approaches to societal improvement. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore how communities organize, adapt, and transform in response to social, economic, cultural, and environmental challenges.

The journal encompasses three broad academic scopes: community development and empowerment, social welfare and sustainable development, and participatory governance and local innovation. Civitas welcomes conceptual, empirical, and practice-based studies that contribute to inclusive and sustainable community development, particularly within developing and transitional societies.
