Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with Globalist: Journal of Global South Politics and Society agree to the following terms regarding ownership, licensing, and redistribution of their work:

  1. Copyright Retention and Licensing
    Authors retain the copyright of their work upon publication and grant Globalist the right of first publication, with the manuscript simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license permits others to copy, distribute, remix, and build upon the work for non-commercial and commercial purposes, provided that the original authorship and initial publication in Globalis are properly credited, and any derivative works are licensed under the same terms.

  2. Non-Exclusive Distribution
    Authors are allowed to enter into additional, separate contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distributionof the journal’s published version of the work. This may include posting the final published article to institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), or inclusion in future publications such as books or edited volumes. In all such cases, authors must acknowledge Globalis as the site of initial publication.

  3. Preprint and Postprint Sharing
    Globalist supports the open access movement and encourages authors to share their work at various stages of development. Authors are permitted and encouraged to upload preprint versions (i.e., prior to peer review) and postprint versions (i.e., peer-reviewed but not yet copyedited/formatted) of their manuscripts to open repositories or personal platforms. Doing so promotes early academic discussion, improves visibility, and increases the potential for citation and impact of the published work.

  4. Attribution and Academic Integrity
    In all cases of reuse or redistribution, proper attribution to the original author(s) and the source journal (Globalist) is required. The citation should include full bibliographic information and the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of the published version.
