Focus

Globalist: Journal of Global South Politics and Society is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship on the political, social, and institutional transformations shaping the Global South. The journal publishes original research articles and critical essays that interrogate structures of power, governance, resistance, and identity through empirically grounded and theoretically informed lenses.

Globalist seeks to center the voices, experiences, and epistemologies of scholars and communities often marginalized in dominant Global North discourses. At the same time, it welcomes globally engaged contributions that offer comparative perspectives, interdisciplinary approaches, and novel frameworks for understanding contemporary challenges in global politics and society.

The journal provides an inclusive platform for both established and emerging scholars, with particular encouragement for work that foregrounds underrepresented regions, grassroots movements, and decolonial, feminist, and critical theoretical orientations.
